New Work

Ceramic mugs by Julia Dean are here!

Her statement about her work: "The act of creating manifests a profound vulnerability within oneself. Drawing from life experience, visions, memories and emotion gives way to a resounding and poignant conversation with the deepest parts of one's soul. For me, listening well to this conversation gives space for the gestation and birth of images and forms that narrate my journey inward.
I am interested in this narrative aspect of my work, but also the space inside the piece. There is a void in empty space. And yet there is an expectant mystery. It is my search for the accessible or inaccessible Self in this space that keeps me listening for my own story in clay".

We are pleased to announce the arrival of new t-shirts printed locally by DevilFishInk.

New Flavor at Craft Foundry!!
Earl Grey Lavender, Organic Fair Trade Black Tea

The floral aroma of lavender is perhaps the perfect complement to the sweet citrus and full-bodied flavor of Earl Grey. The contemporary version of this classic blend was developed in French tea salons and has pleased the palate and raised the eyebrows of more than a few Earl Grey purists. Earl Grey Lavender is handcrafted in small batches and infused with pure essential oils of real fruit and flowers.

Saturday Hours and New Items

PLEASE NOTE: Craft Foundry will be open 12 noon to 3pm on Saturday the 24th, as we are off to a wedding in the evening.

Fear not, we will be back on Sunday to introduce you to a new line of Rishi Tea, including these:

NEW- White Tea with Rose-A blend of jasmine and wild rose scented white teas infused with rejuvenating peppermint and calming lavender. It’s floral with a fresh minty finish.

NEW-Ginger Lime Rooibos-The dry and pleasantly flavored West Indian Lime variety gives our Organic Ginger Lime Rooibos a unique and zesty citrus flavor with notes of ginger and rare spices. The brilliant turmeric yellow and orange infusion glows in the cup and has wonderfully refreshing notes of tropical fruits and spices.

NEW-Mahgreb Mint- Organic Fair Trade Green Tea Maghreb Mint is one of our first mint blends and it remains one of our most popular. It is exotic with a full-bodied sweetness, bold mint flavor and zesty notes of cardamom, ginger and spices. Maghreb Mint can be infused like tea or boiled North African style with sugar, water and/or prepared with milk like Masala Chai.

NEW- Chocolate Mate Chai-Velvety, mellow and deep, this chai is an enticing blend of energizing pu-erh tea, shade-grown yerba maté and cacao. Made even more inviting by creamy vanilla, nutty coconut and fruity, pungent and uplifting Ayurvedic long pepper, this is a most sophisticated take on hot cocoa.

NEW- Turmeric Ginger-Sweet licorice root and zesty orange peel lend depth and structure to this remarkably intriguing, yet balanced herbal tea.

We will continue to carry the much loved White Tea with Peach Blossoms, and Earl Grey Supreme.

Craft Foundry is happy to have a new batch of  jewelry from Samantha Long's Hipster Designs as well as Volta Soaps

Deconstructed Tools Show

Deconstructed Tools

Deconstructed Tools

A busy week again-I am part of a show in North Bowl as well as open during POST Open Studio Tours this weekend.

Info about the first show:"In collaboration with North Bowl Lounge ‘n Lanes and two.one.five magazine, Fishtank PHL presents: Deconstructed Tools.

Deconstructed tools is a multidisciplinary exhibition choosing individuals to focus on the tool they value most in their craft —a painter’s brush, a carpenter’s hammer, a photographer’s eye. Individuals will conceptually deconstruct their tool and further focus in on a single aspect that defines its essence. In turn, the design process and related tool will transform into the design itself".

Free, and open to the public, opening reception October 7, 7-9pm.
The show is up for a week and the closing reception is October 15, so come and see it!
