These authentic silver drop earrings originate from the Tuareg, a nomadic Berber people of the Sahara and Sahel regions of North Africa.
Hand-formed from hollow silver, this long tapered earring was designed to be visually striking yet lightweight for daily wear. The simple crimped cap and natural patina reflect traditional Tuareg metalworking techniques, where silver was valued not only for adornment but also for its protective and symbolic qualities.
These earrings date to the early–mid 20th century and show honest age and wear consistent with traditional use. The surface has not been polished, preserving its original patina and cultural integrity.
